About the tool

The background remover produces results that depend on your source image — lighting, background uniformity, subject contrast and compression artifacts all affect the cutout. Always inspect the result at full zoom before using it for anything that matters, and keep your original file; the download is a new image, never a reversible edit.

The optional AI mode uses the open U²-Netp model. It estimates which pixels belong to the main subject and can be wrong — on unusual subjects, multi-subject scenes and fine edge detail. It is a convenience, not a guarantee.
